The 4Growth team is delighted to announce that the 4Growth Visualisation Platform is now publicly available!
Following an intensive initial phase of conceptualisation, design, and prototyping, this release marks a major leap forward, presenting a comprehensive foresight and analysis environment for understanding digitalisation in agriculture and forestry.
Developed by Vizzuality, with contributions from all 4Growth partners, this tool builds on user-centric design, making data accessible, intuitive, and actionable. It enables users to explore both survey-based insights and model-based projections.
The platformoffers a toggle between “Survey Analysis” and “Projections” modes, giving users the flexibility to switch effortlessly between real-world observatory data and model-based forecasts from the Model-Based Multi-Factor Tool (MMFT).
Whether you want to see how digital tools are currently adopted across Europe or forecast how they may evolve under different future conditions, the platform lets you do both on the same interface.
Users can view time-series projections of key indicators such as adoption rate, market potential, and investment levels, tracking how these evolve across different foresight scenarios.
To help interpret these results, each scenariocomes with a short description explaining its underlying assumptions and key drivers, such as technological innovation or policy direction.
Interactive filters allow for more focused exploration, narrowing results by country, technology type, or application, while multiple chart types (bar, line, area) help visualise data in the most insightful way.
The Sandbox is where the platform’s analytical power truly shines.
Here, users can combine multiple variables in a single graph, experimenting with bubble, line, or bar charts to explore complex relationships between indicators such as investment, adoption, and market potential.
The bubble chart, for instance, enables four-dimensional analysis: plotting indicators across the X and Y axes, with colour and bubble size representing additional variables. This allows users to spot trends, correlations, and outliers that reveal how digital transformation might unfold across regions or technologies.
This version brings together the past, present, and future of digitalisation in agriculture and forestry.
By merging survey-based insights from the 4Growth observatories with model-based forecasts, it helps researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders understand not just where we are, but where we’re heading.
At this stage, the platform integrates MMFT projection data for forestry and the first set of indicators for agriculture, with more agricultural data to follow in upcoming updates.
Available at https://visualisation.4growth-project.eu/, The platform currently integrates initial survey results from across Europe, offering insight into all the platform features. With nearly 1,000 responses expected in the coming weeks, additional survey data from the 4Growth observatories will continue to be incorporated throughout the project period, expanding the platform’s knowledge base and enhancing the accuracy of its analyses.
A new walkthrough video is also available, offering a guided tour of the platform’s functionalities and helping users make the most of its analytical tools. Experience how 4Growth is making complex data understandable, actionable, and future-ready!
